• Hertl recorded 25 points (12-13--25) in 38 games for Slavia Praha during the 2011-12 season. He also had a +9 rating and 22 penalty minutes.
• Hertl spent the majority of the 2009-10 and 2010-11 seasons playing for Slavia Praha’s junior squad. He recorded 38 points (12-26--38) in 42 games during the 2009-10 season and 41 points (14-27--41) in 33 games during the 2010-11 season.
• He represented the Czech Republic at the 2012 World Junior Championship, where he tied for the lead with five points (3-2--5) in six games. Hertl also played for his country at the 2011 Under-18 World Championship, scoring one goal in six games.
