Because of the Romeo Santos concert at Honda Center, the Ducks shifted today’s practice session to The RINKS – Anaheim ICE in preparation for tomorrow night’s game against Los Angeles at Staples Center.

As head coach Bruce Boudreau said after yesterday’s practice, today was a “teaching day” and a main point of emphasis was special teams work (power play and penalty kill).

Cam Fowler (upper body) was the only Ducks player not on the ice this afternoon, and his status for tomorrow’s game is still up in the air.

“I just have to wait and see how he feels,” said Boudreau. “He’s been told he can wake up tomorrow and be great. He’s feeling better every day. The trainer is the one who will indicate whether he’s got the ability to play or not.”

BONINO UPDATE
Nick Bonino
(lower body) skated for the fourth consecutive day and Boudreau says it’s likely he’ll take the full morning skate at Honda Center tomorrow.

“He was 20 minutes out there today, so he’s going up in five-minute increments,” said Boudreau. “But our guess is he’ll take the full skate tomorrow, and then on the next practice, maybe by the beginning of the week, it’s more conditioning now instead of injury.

“Maybe by one of the Edmonton games, we can play him there, then the Vancouver game and the Phoenix game, just to get him up to speed. Anything can change, but that would be a perfect timeline, if he could get three or even maximum of four games in.”
