Ducks Announce TV Schedule for 2013-14 Season

All 82 games of the club’s 20th anniversary season will be televised locally; PRIME TICKET to also add “Ducks Weekly” show beginning Oct. 8

Thursday, 09.05.2013 / 6:16 PM

The Ducks announced today their local television schedule for the 2013-14 National Hockey League (NHL) regular season. All 82 regular season games will be televised locally for the third time in club history. The club’s 20th anniversary season will be carried by local broadcast partners PRIME TICKET/FOX Sports West (69) and LA 56 KDOC-TV (8). In addition, five regular season contests will be televised by national broadcast partner NBC Sports Network. NBC Sports Network’s coverage of the Ducks will include the 2014 Coors Light Stadium Series contest to be held at Dodger Stadium on Saturday, Jan. 25 vs. the Los Angeles Kings (6:30 p.m. PST). All Anaheim Ducks games airing on FOX Sports West and Prime Ticket will include “Ducks Live” pre- and postgame shows for both home and road contests.

Telecasts on PRIME TICKET and FOX Sports West will feature the tandem of Brian Hayward and John Ahlers, back for their 12th season together as color analyst and play-by-play announcer for the Ducks. Hayward enters his 21st season as color analyst, while Ahlers joined the Ducks telecast as play-by-play announcer in 2002. Rinkside reporter Kent French will join Brian and John on the Ducks telecasts throughout the season and also serve as “Ducks Live” host, where he will alternate at the position with Mark Rogondino. The “Ducks Live” postgame show returns immediately following all home and road telecasts, delivering unique insight from Hayward and access to players and coaches.

Additionally, PRIME TICKET will again offer the “Ducks Live: Season Preview Special” debuting on Thursday, Sept. 26 at 10:30 p.m. PDT. And as a new fixture this season, “Ducks Weekly” will take fans behind the scenes to showcase the players’ lives off the ice, training regimens and more. The half-hour program will air every Sunday throughout the regular season, beginning Oct. 6 at 8:00 p.m. PDT following Anaheim’s road game in Winnipeg.

The 2013-14 season marks PRIME TICKET’s 21st as telecast partner with the Anaheim Ducks. Together, Prime Ticket and sister network FOX Sports West present more live, local sports programming than any other network or broadcast system in the market, producing over 800 live sporting events including 2,500 hours of live and original programming every year.
