The Ducks have reassigned left wing Emerson Etem to the Norfolk Admirals, Anaheim’s primary development affiliate in the American Hockey League (AHL).
Etem, 21 (6/16/92), appeared in 26 contests with Anaheim this season, earning 6-4=10 points with a +2 rating and four penalty minutes (PIM). He recorded a career-high three-game point streak (1-2=3) from Nov. 10-14 and notched his first career multi-goal game (2-0=2) with a career-best +3 rating in a 6-3 win on Nov. 2 at Buffalo. Originally assigned to Norfolk on Nov. 27, Etem has collected 1-4=5 points in three AHL contests.
Selected in the first round (29th overall) of the 2010 NHL Entry Draft, Etem made his NHL debut with Anaheim in 2012-13, collecting 3-7=10 points with nine PIM in 38 contests. The Long Beach, California native has appeared in 64 career contests with the Ducks, collecting 9-11=20 points with a +9 rating and 13 PIM. He is the highest-drafted Southern California born-and-trained player in Ducks history and the third-highest in NHL history. In 48 career AHL contests with Norfolk, he has 14-7=21 points with 12 PIM.
