Made his professional hockey debut in 2006-07 with Portland (AHL), finished T-1st on the Pirates in rookie scoring and T-3rd in overall scoring…appeared in 79 games for the Pirates, tied for the most games played on the team along with defenseman Clay Wilson…joined Anaheim for the 2007 Stanley Cup playoffs, making his NHL debut…appeared in three games, including Games One and Two (May 28 and 30) of the Stanley Cup Final vs. Ottawa…as a junior at Michigan State (CCHA), served as captain while leading the club in scoring with 18-25=43 points in 44 games…was named MSU’s MVP and was honored as the CCHA's Best Defensive Forward…Miller was also named to the CCHA All-Tournament Team, helping MSU capture the 2006 CCHA Tournament title...in his three seasons at MSU, he totaled 39-47=86 points in 125 games...for his off-ice efforts, Miller was recognized as the CCHA's 2006 Illitch Humanitarian Award winner and was nominated for the Hockey Humanitarian Award in 2005 and 2006…Miller is the cousin of former Duck player Kip Miller and assistant coach Kelly Miller…his older brother, Ryan, is a goaltender for the Buffalo Sabres…Drew Miller was the 10th member of his family to play hockey at Michigan State…Father (Dean - 1978-79), grandfather (Butch - 1956, '59), brother (Ryan - 2000-02) and uncle (Lyle - 1964) all lettered for the Spartans in hockey, as did cousins Kip (1987-90), Kevin (1985-88) and Kelly (1982-85).

 Personal: Brother of Buffalo Sabres goalkeeper Ryan Miller…Drew played for Michigan State hockey in college from 2003-2006…on July 5, 2007, Miller returned to East Lansing for his day with the Stanley Cup…along with spending time at the Miller family home in East Lansing, the Cup also made stops at the Lansing city market, Munn Ice Area and the Sparrow Hospital where Miller shared the Cup with children in the pediatrics ward, where he has been a regular visitor dating back to his days in the Spartan Buddies program while at Michigan State.
