Ducks Recall Konopka, Place Three Players on Injured List

The Mighty Ducks have recalled center Zenon Konopka from the Portland Pirates.
Konopka, 24 (1/2/81), has played in seven games with Portland this season, earning 2-6=8 points with 10 penalty minutes and a +8 rating. The Niagara Falls, Ontario, native has appeared in 111 career American Hockey League games, posting 24-30=54 points. He has never appeared in an NHL game.
The 6-1, 213-pound forward agreed to terms on a two-year contract with Anaheim on Sept. 1, 2004.
The Ducks also placed the following players on the injured list:
C Sergei Fedorov – left groin strain
D Sandis Ozolinsh – fractured rib
RW Corey Perry – concussion
Rookie center Ryan Getzlaf will remain on the injured list with a strained left shoulder.
