ANAHEIM, Calif. – The Mighty Ducks of Anaheim will be holding a patio party on the East side of the Arrowhead Pond tonight  in celebration of the grand re-opening of the club’s official Team Store. Originally opened in 1993, the Mighty Ducks Team Store’s complete remodel will be showcased at 6:45 that evening with an official “Doors Open Celebration.”

“This project is just another example of our new ownership’s commitment to having the best facility and fan experience in sports,” said Ducks Executive Vice President/Chief Operating Officer Tim Ryan. “Our new Team Store will be a place that Duck fans can find the most progressive products and styles with an exciting new look.”

The patio event will be emceed by In-Arena Host Kent French and will feature live music, with fans encouraged to take part in the festivities beginning at 6:15 p.m. The grand re-opening culminates when Tim Ryan officially opens the doors at 6:45 p.m.

Mighty Ducks six-time All-Star center Sergei Fedorov will be on hand to ring in the Team Store’s first sale and sign autographs for the store’s first wave of customers. Additionally, FSN West 2, the cable home of Mighty Ducks hockey, will shoot its half-hour pre-game show entitled “FSN Ducks Live” using the Team Store’s new look as its backdrop.

Highlights of the Ducks new Team Store include: An additional 800 square feet of shopping space, twice the merchandise, six 30-inch flat screen televisions throughout the store for viewing live game action and video highlights, as well as a live up-to-the-second scoreboard, which is electronically linked to the club’s center-hung DiamondVision displayed over center ice.

Additionally, the new Mighty Ducks Team Store will customize jerseys while you wait, for fans looking to wear the name and number of their favorite Mighty Duck. The store’s entire East-facing side now boasts a 12-foot glass wall, while four additional checkout registers have been added to assure patrons shorter waiting time, once shopping decisions have been made.

Following Friday night’s event, the Mighty Ducks Team store will be open Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The store will feature traditional fan favorites such as Mighty Ducks logo pucks, but has added a number of NHL licensed products of teams from other markets.
