Ducks Announce Roster Moves
ANAHEIM, Calif. – The Ducks have recalled left wing Chris Kunitz and goaltender Michael Wall from the Portland Pirates, Anaheim’s primary development affiliate in the American Hockey League (AHL).  In addition the Ducks have reassigned center Ryan Getzlaf and right wing Corey Perry to Portland.

Kunitz, 26 (9/26/79), has appeared in nine games with Anaheim this season, scoring 1-2=3 points with four penalty minutes (PIM).  He has also played in two games with the Atlanta Thrashers this regular season, going scoreless with two penalty minutes (PIM). The 6-0, 194-pound winger was claimed on waivers by Anaheim on Oct. 18, 2005, after being claimed earlier that month (Oct. 4) by Atlanta. Kunitz has played five games with Portland this season, collecting 0-4=4 points with 12 PIM.

Kunitz signed with the Mighty Ducks as a free agent on April 1, 2003.

In two prior recalls this season, Wall, 20 (7/25/85), has dressed in four games with Anaheim but has not appeared in a game. He has played in eight games with Portland this season, going 4-4-0 with a 3.53 goals-against average and .881 save percentage.

The 6-2, 189-pound native of Telkwa, British Columbia, signed a three-year entry level contract with Anaheim on Sept. 29, 2005.

Getzlaf, 20, (5/10/85), has recorded 4-3=7 points with 10 PIM in 16 games with Anaheim this season.  He missed five games, Oct. 25-Nov. 1, with a shoulder strain.  Getzlaf was Anaheim’s first choice (first round, 19th overall) in the 2003 NHL Entry Draft.

Perry, 20, (5/16/85), has played 15 games with Anaheim this season, collecting 1-5=6 points with 10 PIM.  He missed five games, Oct. 30-Nov. 6, with a concussion.  Perry was Anaheim’s second choice (first round, 28th overall) in the 2003 NHL Entry Draft.
