Ducks to Honor Teemu Selanne
Selanne scored two goals in Monday’s 4-3 overtime win vs. Los Angeles to capture his 1,000th point and currently shares the NHL’s longest active point streak at eight games (6-7=13 points, also Brian Rolston of Minnesota). He currently leads the Mighty Ducks in goals (25), points (50), power play goals (11) and plus-minus rating (+18). He has recorded 6-13=19 points in his last 13 games (missed two games, Jan. 13-16, with a groin strain), recording at least a point in every game.
A 14-year NHL veteran, Selanne has scored 532 of his 1001 career NHL points in a Ducks uniform. He ranks among Anaheim's all-time leaders in several categories, including goals (2nd with 250), points (2nd) and assists (2nd with 282), while ranking fourth on the Mighty Ducks all-time games played list with (444). Additionally, the Ducks forward is second to only Jaromir Jagr in goals scored with 475, since entering the National Hockey League in 1992-93.
