Ducks Recall Brett Skinner
Skinner, 22 (6/28/83), appeared in 65 games this regular season with Manitoba, earning 4-21=25 points with 33 penalty minutes (PIM). The 6-1, 195-pound defenseman appeared in 13 Calder Cup Playoff games and collected 0-4=4 points with 19 PIM and a +5 rating.
Skinner spent three seasons at the University of Denver, earning 15-72=87 points in 124 career Western Collegiate Hockey Association games, including a 2005 National Championship. Following the 2005 season he was named to NCAA Second All-American Team, the first WCHA First All-Star Team and the 2005 NCAA Championship All-Tournament Team.
Skinner was acquired with a second-round draft choice in the 2006 Entry Draft from Vancouver for Keith Carney and Juha Alen on March 9, 2006. A native of Brandon, Manitoba, Skinner was drafted by Vancouver in the third round (68th overall) of the 2002 NHL Entry Draft.
