Game Two: Oilers 3, Ducks 1
ANAHEIM, Calif. - Chris Pronger, Fernando Pisani and Michael Peca each scored and Dwayne Roloson stopped 33 shots to lift the Edmonton Oilers to a 3-1 Game 2 victory over the Ducks and to a 2-0 Western Conference Final series lead.

The series now shifts to Edmonton for Game 3 on Tuesday at 5 p.m.

“We’ve just got to look at the next game right now and be ready to play that one,” said Ducks captain Scott Niedermayer.  “We know it’s going to be full energy in that building.

“The city’s excited up there.  “We’re going to go in there and play as hard and as well as we can in two nights and try to get the job done that night.”

Pronger (3, Hemsky, Smyth) started the scoring for Edmonton on the power play at 13:08 of the first period.  The 6’6” defenseman fired a slap shot under the right arm of Ilya Bryzgalov to give the Oilers a 1-0 lead.

The Ducks tied the game 6:12 into the second period.  Rob Niedermayer played a puck from behind the Edmonton net.  Friesen (3, Pahlsson, R. Niedermayer) picked up the loose puck off the skate of Samuel Pahlsson and beat Roloson on the backhand for his third goal of the playoffs.

Edmonton regained the lead at 17:09 of the second period when Pisani (8, Samsonov, Peca) rifled a wrister past Bryzgalov for his team-leading eighth goal of the postseason.

Roloson made several key saves in the third period including a breakaway stop on the Ducks’ Chris Kunitz to preserve the one-goal advantage.

Peca (4, Pisani, Roloson) sealed the Game 2 victory with an empty-net goal at 19:42 of the third period for his second goal in as many nights.
