All '06-'07 Games To Be Broadcast On AM 830
ANAHEIM, Calif. - The Anaheim Ducks announced today that the National Hockey League (NHL) club has reached an agreement with 50,000-watt AM 830 to broadcast all of the club's 2006-2007 pre-, regular and post-season contests. The deal assures that each Ducks game will be found live and in its entirety on AM 830. It will mark the first time in club history that every game, including exhibition contests, will be aired live. Pre- and post-game shows, along with several other hockey-related programs, will be a part of the station's regular lineup and announced at a later date.
"This is great news for our fans," said Anaheim Arena Management President/CEO & Anaheim Ducks Executive Vice President/COO Tim Ryan. "Having all of our games carried on one station with such a powerful signal will be a tremendous benefit."
AM 830 is owned by a partnership led by Arte Moreno, who also owns Angels Baseball. The station has one of the nation's largest signals on the AM and FM bands, boasting the 14th largest radio signal in the nation and the fourth largest signal overall in California.
"This is exactly the type of radio partner we were looking for, one that allows us to expand coverage for all events at the Arrowhead Pond of Anaheim," said Anaheim Ducks & Anaheim Arena Management Senior Vice President/CMO Bob Wagner. "We now have the ability to expand not only our game coverage, but all event programming with several ancillary shows and other promotional opportunities."
Steve Carroll returns for his eighth season as Anaheim Ducks radio play-by-play voice. Brent Severyn will begin his second season with the club as radio color analyst.
The Anaheim Ducks' television schedule is being finalized and will be released at a later date.
