Ducks Reassign McKee
ANAHEIM, Calif. - The Anaheim Ducks announced today that the National Hockey League (NHL) club has reassigned goaltender David McKee to the Augusta Lynx, Anaheim's development affiliate in the ECHL.
McKee, 22 (12/5/83), dressed but did not play in four games for the Ducks after being recalled on Nov. 21, 2006. He has appeared in 13 games with Augusta this season, posting a record of 8-2-0 with a 3.68 goals against average (GAA) and a .899 save percentage (SV%). At the time of his recall, McKee was 2nd in the ECHL in wins.
The 6-1, 187-pound netminder played three seasons with Cornell University of the Eastern Collegiate Athletic Conference (ECAC), where he was a Hobey Baker Finalist and the Ivy League Player of the Year in 2005. This season, he earned a 22-9-4 record with a 2.08 GAA and .910 SV%, helping the Big Red to the 2006 Men's Frozen Four Tournament.
McKee signed as a free agent with Anaheim on April 1, 2006.
