             ANAHEIM DUCKS ANNOUNCE ROSTER MOVES

ANAHEIM, Calif. - The Anaheim Ducks announced today that the National Hockey League (NHL) club has recalled right wing Ryan Shannon from the Portland Pirates, Anaheim's primary development affiliate in the American Hockey League (AHL). At the same time, the club has assigned center Mark Hartigan to Portland.

Shannon, 23 (3/2/83), has played in 38 games with Anaheim this season, earning 2-7=9 points with six penalty minutes (PIM). He has also appeared in 14 games with Portland, earning 2-7=9 points with 12 PIM. The 5-9, 173-pound forward appeared in his first professional season in 2005-2006, earning 27-59=86 points in 71 games with the Pirates earning AHL All-Rookie Team honors.

A native of Darien, Connecticut, Shannon was signed by Anaheim as a free agent on Nov. 28, 2005.

Hartigan, 29, (10/15/77), has played in 76 career NHL games, scoring 16-10=26 points. He appeared in three games with Anaheim (going scoreless) following his acquisition on Jan. 26, 2007.  A native of Fort St. John, British Columbia, Hartigan has also played in six games this season with Columbus (NHL), scoring 1-2=3 points and 34 games with Syracuse (AHL), scoring 19-13=32 points. A 2002 Hobey Baker Finalist at St. Cloud State, Hartigan still owns the school record for career goals with 86.
