Anaheim Ducks owners Henry and Susan Samueli joined Executive Vice President/General Manager Brian Burke today to donate a 2007 Stanley Cup championship ring to the Hockey Hall of Fame. It is the first time an NHL club has made such a gesture to the Hall, giving fans the opportunity to view a championship ring up-close.

"On behalf of owners Henry and Susan Samueli, we are very pleased to be able to offer the Hockey Hall of Fame an Anaheim Ducks 2007 Stanley Cup Championship ring," said Ducks Executive Vice President/General Manager Brian Burke. "Henry and Susan spent a tremendous amount of time and effort working on the design of the rings and we are honored the Hall of Fame will be putting it on display for the fans."

Henry and Susan Samueli presented Hockey Hall of Fame Chairman and CEO Bill Hay with the championship ring. Composed of 110 diamonds in 14-karat white gold, the face of the ring features a raised Stanley Cup filled with 16 diamonds, representing the club's 16 wins to secure the championship. Other unique features include 14 stones on the right side of the ring; 11 green stones representing Disney's ownership, two orange stones representing the current Samueli ownership and one white stone for the missed 2004-05 season due to the work stoppage. The inside of the ring includes the inscribed phrase, "Destiny is Heart, Sacrifice and Passion," which became the team's motto throughout the 2007 Stanley Cup Playoffs.

Following the ring presentation, Hockey Hall of Fame curator Phil Pritchard toured the Ducks management team around the 57,000 square foot interactive museum. The tour included a special viewing of the latest edition of The Stanley Cup Odyssey featured in the Hartland Molson Theatre. The 2007 edition of the exclusive film features the 2007 Stanley Cup Finals, which undoubtedly, brought back great memories for the Ducks management team.
