SELANNE LOOKS TO BREAK TEAM SCORING RECORD IN HOME DEBUT VS. DALLAS THIS FRIDAY: Right wing Teemu Selanne makes his first appearance at Honda Center since Game Five of the 2007 Stanley Cup Final this Friday against the Dallas Stars, needing only one point surpass Paul Kariya for the all-time club scoring record, which currently stands at 669 points…Friday’s game is a matchup of the two hottest teams in the NHL…the Ducks have gone 5-0-0 since the return of Selanne and face a Dallas team that has won seven consecutive games, tying their franchise high…these two teams currently have the longest active winning streaks in the league…Anaheim has fared well recently at Honda Center against Dallas…since the start of the 2006-07 season, the Ducks have posted a 4-1-1 home record vs. the Stars…Friday’s game kicks off a season-high seven-game homestand, which was preceded by a franchise-record eight-game road trip for Anaheim…in addition to facing the Stars, the Ducks will also host Calgary (Feb. 17 & Feb. 29), Colorado (Feb. 20), St. Louis (Feb. 22), Chicago (Feb. 24) and Ottawa (Mar. 3) as part of the homestand.

WELCOME BACK, TEEMU: The Ducks signed right wing Teemu Selanne to a one-year contract on Jan. 28, securing Anaheim's all-time leading goal scorer for the remainder of the 2007-08 season...Selanne has appeared in five games with the Ducks this season, scoring 1-2=3 points…he has played in 561 regular season games as a member of the Ducks all-time, scoring 314-355=669 points...he is the club’s all-time leader in goals, plus/minus (+112), power play goals (110), power play points (267), game-winning goals (52), and overtime goals (5)...he is currently one point shy of becoming the all-time club scoring leader.

FIRST IMPRESSIONS: The Ducks have gone 5-0-0 since the return of right wing Teemu Selanne on Feb. 5 against the New York Islanders at Nassau Coliseum...the Ducks also had similar success when they welcomed the return of defenseman Scott Niedermayer and arrival of center Doug Weight...below is a comparative look at Anaheim's performance following the respective additions of Selanne and Niedermayer and Weight:

CLIMBING THE CHARTS: 
Ducks right wing Teemu Selanne tied Stan Mikita for 26th place on the all-time goals list with his 541st NHL career goal last night in Colorado...among active NHL goal scorers, Selanne ranks fifth, five goals behind Mats Sundin for fourth place...below is a look at both Nos. 23-28 on the NHL's all-time goal scoring list and the active NHL leaders:

WINNING AT HONDA CENTER: Including a 15-7-4 record this year (excluding Sept. 30 "home" game in London, England), the Anaheim Ducks are 61-18-16 in their last 95 regular season games at Honda Center dating back to Nov. 25, 2006...the Ducks have a .671 winning percentage (104-40-37, 243 pts.) over the last 181 home games, earning at least one point in 141 of those 181 contests (19-6-8 in the last 33 home games of 2002-03 season and 19-11-11 in 2003-04)...Anaheim finished the 2006-07 regular season with a home record of 26-6-9, tying the club record for home wins in a season (26-10-5 in 2005-2006)...the Ducks also went 10-2 at home in the 2007 Stanley Cup playoffs, clinching all four series wins at Honda Center.

PACKING ’EM IN:
The Ducks look to record their 61st consecutive sellout at Honda Center when they take on the Dallas Stars on Friday…the 60 current sellouts, a franchise record, include 48 regular season and 12 playoff games...last August, the Ducks capped season ticket sales at 15,000 and started a waiting list for future orders...the Ducks currently have the third-longest active regular-season sellout streak among U.S.-based NHL teams...Minnesota leads the way with 274 consecutive regular season sellouts...next is the New York Rangers with 105...Anaheim is third with 48, the longest active streak of any U.S. team on the west coast and just three shy of matching the franchise record (Dec. 22, 1993-Oct. 20, 1995)...Pittsburgh ranks fourth with 42 straight regular season sellouts...among Canadian teams, Vancouver leads with 202 consecutive regular season sellouts and is followed by Toronto (184), Calgary (155), Montreal (127), Edmonton (103) and Ottawa (25).

YOUTH MOVEMENT:
Center Ryan Getzlaf and right wing Corey Perry, Anaheim's top two scorers, rank among the NHL's leading scorers aged 22 and younger this season...currently Getzlaf and Perry rank tied for fourth and seventh on the list, respectively...in addition Anaheim's tandem of Getzlaf and Perry, along with Pittsburgh's Sidney Crosby and Evgeni Malkin are the only two teams in the NHL with two 19+ goal scorers aged 22 and younger.
