Ducks Weekly Notes
RED HOT: The Anaheim Ducks enter the week having won four straight games and nine of their last 10 (9-1-0) dating back to the return of right wing Teemu Selanne on Feb. 5…the Ducks are in second place in the Pacific Division, just four points behind the division-leading Dallas Stars with 16 games left to play…Anaheim is in the midst of a season-high seven-game homestand at Honda Center…the Ducks, who have gone 4-1-0 in the first five games, have a four-day break before resuming the homestand on Friday night against the Calgary Flames (7:05 p.m.)…the homestand concludes on Monday, Mar. 3 when the Ducks take on the Ottawa Senators, marking the first meeting between these teams since the 2007 Stanley Cup Final.

FIRST IMPRESSIONS:
The Ducks have gone 9-1-0 since the return of right wing Teemu Selanne on Feb. 5 against the New York Islanders at Nassau Coliseum...the Ducks also had similar success when they welcomed the return of defenseman Scott Niedermayer and arrival of center Doug Weight on Dec. 16, going 6-2-2 in the first 10 games.

CLIMBING THE CHARTS:
Ducks right wing Teemu Selanne surpassed Maurice Richard for 25th place on the all-time goals list with his 545th career NHL goal in Sunday’s 6-3 win over the Chicago Blackhawks at Honda Center...among active NHL goal scorers, Selanne ranks fifth, two goals behind Mats Sundin for fourth place.

STREAKING: Right wing Teemu Selanne will enter Friday’s game against the Northwest Division-leading Calgary Flames on a four-game point streak (5-3=8)…Selanne, who also has goals in three straight games, was named the NHL First Star of the Week earlier today…Selanne scored 5-2=7 points during the week of Feb. 18-24 as the Ducks posted three consecutive victories…Teemu notched one goal in a 3-2 shootout  win over the Colorado Avalanche on Feb. 20, tallied once in a 2-1 overtime victory over the St. Louis Blues on Feb. 22 and recorded 3-2=5 points in a 6-3 victory over the Chicago Blackhawks last night…Selanne's 20th career NHL hat trick increased his career goals total to 546, moving him past Maurice Richard (544) into 25th place on the all-time list…he also reached the 600-assist milestone in the contest.

PLUS EFFORT: Defenseman Mathieu Schneider (+20 this year) is a +87 player since the start of the 2003-04 season, the third highest mark in the league...Schneider trails only Detroit's Nicklas Lidstrom (+119) and the NY Rangers' Marek Malik (+101)...Schneider has been a "plus" or "even" player in each of the last 29 consecutive games (+16), the longest active streak in the NHL...Carolina defenseman Glen Wesley has the longest streak this season at 30 games (+8), Oct. 3-Dec. 8, 2007...nine NHL defensemen have recorded a rating of even or better in each of the previous six NHL seasons...three of those nine are current Ducks, including Scott Niedermayer (+80), Sean O'Donnell (+68) and Schneider (+92)...the others are Lidstrom (+181), Ottawa's Wade Redden (+138) and Chris Phillips (+105), Detroit's Brian Rafalski (+99), Calgary's Rhett Warrener (+45) and Colorado's Scott Hannan (+32).

WINNING AT HONDA CENTER: The Ducks have won four straight games at Honda Center and are 11-2-1 in their last 14 games at home...including a 19-8-4 record this year (excluding Sept. 30 "home" game in London, England), the Ducks are 65-19-16 in their last 100 regular season games at Honda Center dating back to Nov. 25, 2006...the Ducks have a .680 winning percentage (108-41-37, 253 pts.) over the last 186 home games, earning at least one point in 145 of those 186 contests (19-6-8 in the last 33 home games of 2002-03 season and 19-11-11 in 2003-04)...Anaheim finished the 2006-07 regular season with a home record of 26-6-9, tying the club record for home wins in a season (26-10-5 in 2005-2006)...the Ducks also went 10-2 at home in the 2007 Stanley Cup playoffs, clinching all four series wins at Honda Center.

PACKING ’EM IN:
The Ducks look to record their 66th consecutive sellout at Honda Center when they take on the Calgary Flames on Friday night...the 65 current sellouts, a franchise record, include 53 regular season and 12 playoff games...the club broke the club record for consecuive regular season sellouts on Feb. 22 against the St. Louis Blues when they surpassed the previous record of 51 straight regular season sellouts set from Dec. 22, 1993-Oct. 20, 1995...last August, the Ducks capped season ticket sales at 15,000 and started a waiting list for future orders...the Ducks currently have the third-longest active regular-season sellout streak among U.S.-based NHL teams...Minnesota leads the way with 277 consecutive regular season sellouts...next is the New York Rangers with 108...Anaheim is third with 53, the longest active streak of any U.S. team on the west coast...Pittsburgh ranks fourth with 46 straight regular season sellouts...among Canadian teams, Vancouver leads with 205 consecutive regular season sellouts and is followed by Toronto (189), Calgary (156), Montreal (131), Edmonton (104) and Ottawa (28).
