Getzlaf Gives Back
Ducks forward Ryan Getzlaf partners with his former team to bring kids to 20 Calgary Hitmen games this season
Ducks forward Ryan Getzlaf has announced an exciting new partnership called Getzlaf’s Gang with his former team, the Calgary Hitmen of the WHL.
This program will bring a group of children to 20 Hitmen games this season. Each night will feature a different group of kids as selected by Getzlaf himself through Kids Up Front. They will watch a Hitmen game in the Telus Suite with each member receiving a Getzlaf Gang t-shirt, along with an autographed 8x10 picture of Getzlaf.

“This in an excellent program that gives me a chance to give back to the fans and city who helped me achieve my goals and dreams of becoming a National Hockey League player,” said Getzlaf, who is funding the program and assisting in the selection of appropriate charitable groups.
Kids Up Front partners with over 150 agencies in
“By giving children the opportunity to experience entertainment and educational events we help integrate them into the community in a positive way,” said Kids Up Front Executive Director Kari Scarlett.
Getzlaf played four seasons with the Hitmen (2001-02 to 2004-05) and appeared in 233 regular season games while collecting 215 points.
