Ducks in Game 7s
The Ducks have played three previous Game 7s, going 2-1 (1-1 on the road). The club’s last appearance in a Game 7 came on May 3, 2006 at Calgary (3-0 win). Coincidentally, all three games have had a final score of 3-0. The Ducks won Game 7 in their first ever playoff series in 1997 vs. Phoenix, fell at New Jersey in Game 7 of the Stanley Cup Final in 2003 and defeated the Flames in Calgary in 2006. A closer look:

Game Highlights
Ilya Bryzgalov stopped all 22 shots he faced as the Ducks shutout the Flames 3-0 to advance to the Western Conference Semifinals...the shutout was the first of Bryzgalov's career...Teemu Selanne (GWG), Ruslan Salei and Jeff Friesen all scored goals for the Ducks. 


June 9, 2003, Stanley Cup Final Game 7 
Anaheim 0 at New Jersey 3  
The Ducks tremendous playoff ended in a 3-0 defeat in Game 7….Michael Rupp scored the game-winner in the second period and Jeff Friesen added two goals…Martin Brodeur stopped 24 shots in the win, while Conn Smythe winner Jean-Sebastien Giguere made 22 saves for Anaheim. 


April 29, 1997, Western Conference Quarterfinals Game 7
Phoenix 0 @ Anaheim 3

Guy Hebert stopped all 31 shots he faced in earning his first-ever playoff shutout…David Karpa scored the series-winning goal just 3:11 into the game while Steve Rucchin and Joe Sacco added goals in the second period to lead the Ducks’ offense…Karpa finished the game with 1-1=2 points in a game that saw only three penalties called...Anaheim became only the seventh team in NHL history to win its first-ever playoff series.
