The Ducks helped children from Saint Joseph Ballet get excited for the school year by joining them at Wal-Mart Foothill Ranch on Friday, September 18 for the annual Ducks Back to School Shopping Spree. Ducks players Steve Eminger, Justin Pogge and Sheldon Brookbank, along with his Sheldon's wife Lene, accompanied six Saint Joseph Ballet students as they shopped for school supplies, backpacks, clothes and other essentials for the school year.

Saint Joseph Ballet is one of the nation’s most innovative after-school programs for at-risk youth.  The 25-year-old arts-based organization uses dance to teach young people what it takes to succeed in life, including self-esteem, confidence, leadership, cooperative learning and discipline.

In addition to the shopping spree, the children were given tickets to attend a Ducks preseason game, a Ducks Kids Club as well as variety of Ducks merchandise.
