The Ducks announced on Tuesday that they have recalled right wing Dan Sexton from the Bakersfield Condors, Anaheim’s development affiliate in the ECHL.

Sexton, 22 (4/29/87), has collected 9-9=18 points with 14 penalty minutes (PIM) in 28 games for the Ducks this season. Originally recalled from the Manitoba Moose of the American Hockey League (AHL) on Dec. 4, Sexton scored 6-5=11 points in the month of December for Anaheim, ranking second among league rookies in scoring and tied for second in goals. Sexton also posted a career-high three-game goal streak (4-3=7) from Dec. 8-12. In 13 contests with Manitoba, the Apple Valley, MN native earned 5-7=12 points with two PIM. Sexton began the 2009-10 season with Bakersfield, scoring 13-13=26 points with a +8 rating and 14 PIM. He earned ECHL Player of the Week honors for Nov. 16-22, collecting 5-4=9 points in four contests.

Signed as a free agent on Apr. 7, 2009, Sexton played all 38 games with Bowling Green last season, collecting 17-22=39 points with 20 PIM. Among Central Collegiate Hockey Association (CCHA) leaders, Sexton ranked tied for fifth in scoring and fifth in goals. He earned honorable mention from the CCHA in March when the 2008-09 All-CCHA First and Second Teams were announced. In 76 career contests with Bowling Green, Sexton collected 24-36=60 points with 62 PIM. In 2007-08, he earned CCHA Rookie of the Week honors with 2-2=4 points in a weekend sweep of Western Michigan, Jan. 18-19, 2008.
