The Ducks have signed center Peter Holland to a three-year entry-level contract. Per club policy, no terms of the deal were disclosed. The three-year contract begins with the start of next season (2010-11).

He scored a career-high four points (regular season) on three separate occasions this year, including a four-goal effort (4-0=4). The 6-2, 187-pound center also appeared in five OHL Playoff contests with the Storm this season, collecting a career-high 2-3=5 points on Mar. 23 at London in Game 3 of the Quarterfinals. Guelph was eliminated by London in five games (4-1).

In 2008-09, the Toronto, Ontario native finished second on the Storm in scoring and appeared in all 68 of the club’s regular season contests. Holland was also Guelph’s leading goal scorer in the OHL Playoffs, tallying four goals in four contests (4-0=4). In addition, he represented the Storm in the 2009 OHL All-Star Classic and was selected to Team Canada’s 2009 IIHF Under-18 World Championship squad, earning 1-4=5 points in the tournament. Holland also appeared with Team Orr at the 2009 CHL Top Prospects Game.
