A total of three prospects from the Ducks will take part in the 2010 USA Hockey National Junior Evaluation Camp later this summer.

Cam Fowler and Emerson Etem, each selected by Anaheim in the first round of the 2010 NHL Entry Draft, will each be making the trek to Lake Placid, N.Y., as will 2009 first-round selection Kyle Palmieri.

Both Fowler and Palmieri were members of last year's USA World Junior team, which took home the gold medal after defeating Canada 6-5 in overtime. A total of 44 players in all were invited to this year's Evaluation Camp.

The 18-year-old Fowler, chosen by the Ducks with the 12th overall pick at the 2010 Draft, collected 55 points and a plus-38 rating in 55 games with the Windsor Spitfires of the OHL in 2009-10. Fowler ranked seventh among OHL defensemen in scoring to help Windsor finish first in its conference during the regular season. The 6-1, 190-pound blueliner also added 14 points in 19 OHL Playoff games, helping the Spitfires to their second consecutive OHL championship and second straight Memorial Cup as National Junior Hockey Champions.

A Long Beach native, Etem (also 18 years old), was selected with the 29th overall selection in the draft held at Staples Center this past June. He recorded 65 points with a plus-eight rating in 72 games with the Medicine Hat Tigers of the WHL in 2009-10. Etem led all WHL rookies in goals and finished fourth overall in points last season. The 6-0, 190-pound right wing added another 10 points in 12 WHL playoff games and was named Medicine Hat’s Rookie of the Year for 2009-10.

Palmieri, 19, was one of Anaheim's two first-round picks (along with Peter Holland) in the 2009 Draft (selected 26th overall). The 5-10, 190-pound forward completed his freshman season with the University of Notre Dame in 2009-10. In 33 games with the Fighting Irish, Palmieri totaled nine goals, eight assists and 17 points.
