Tomorrow’s game marks the Ducks’ 17th home opener at Honda Center in franchise history. Actress Melora Hardin, best known as “Jan” from NBC’s “The Office” will sing the U.S. national anthem prior to the start of the game.

Red Carpet
Fans are encouraged to arrive early for a special Red Carpet event, taking place at the North entrance of Honda Center, beginning at 3:30 p.m. Ducks players will walk the red carpet and participate in pre-game interviews as they enter the building before suiting up for the game. Ducks television host Kent French and Go Country (105.1 KKGO) on-air host Shawn Parr will be on the red carpet interviewing players as they arrive. In addition, Go Country’s Street Team will be on-site raffling off prizes to fans who attend the Ducks’ Red Carpet event.

Pregame Festivities
Fans are also encouraged to be in their seats by 6:45 p.m. for the exciting new pre-game opening video and entertainment presentation for the 2010-11 season. From past feature films “17 Again” and “Hannah Montana: The Movie,” as well as NBC’s hit series “The Office,” Melora Hardin will kick off the Ducks home schedule by singing the U.S. national anthem.

New Food & Beverage Launch
The Ducks home opener also marks the kickoff of Honda Center’s new two-year food and beverage upgrade program which seeks to offer unique new menu items as well as quick and professional service. Five new branded concepts are part of the initial wave, including Bluewater Grill (Section 226), Urban Wok (Section 443), The OC Grill (Section 205), Simply Chicken (Section 212) and The Hot Dog Stop (Sections 210, 224, 415, 421 & 437). Features items at the five new stands include Bluewater Grill’s signature fish and chips, The OC Grill’s Philly cheese steak and The Hot Dog Stop’s Top Shelf Dog, Honda Center’s new signature hot dog that puts a modern twist on an old-fashioned favorite.

During the second intermission of Wednesday’s contest, one lucky fan will win a 2011 Honda CR-Z from American Honda. Five finalists will be selected at random to compete in an on-ice contest for the grand prize. In addition, the new owner of the Honda CR-Z will receive a $500 gas gift card and a trip for two to Las Vegas, provided by the Auto Club (AAA).

Surprise Pucks
The Ducks will also be offering a commemorative series of four limited-edition Anaheim Ducks pucks in 2010-11 to benefit the Anaheim Ducks Foundation. Beginning Wednesday, fans can pick an individually wrapped puck at random and receive either a Ducks player-autographed commemorative puck or one of 24 “surprise” Ducks player-autographed orange pucks, which also includes an Anaheim Ducks autographed jersey.
