Ducks Recall Green from Syracuse

Green, 32 (11/16/77), appeared in seven games for Syracuse this season, collecting 1-2=3 points with six penalty minutes (PIM). Signed to a one-year contract by Anaheim on July 12, 2010, Green scored 1-3=4 points with a +1 rating in three exhibition games for the Ducks, ranking tied for third on the club in preseason scoring. He was assigned to Syracuse on Oct. 4 prior to Anaheim’s season opener.
Green appeared in 47 games for MoDo of the Swedish Elite League last season, recording 12-8=20 points with 79 PIM. Originally signed by Anaheim as a free agent on July 22, 2008, Green made his Ducks debut in the 2009 Stanley Cup Playoffs, going scoreless in five games.
Selected by Los Angeles in the second round (30th overall) of the 1996 NHL Entry Draft, Green has played for Los Angeles (1998-99), New York Islanders (1999-00), Edmonton (2001-03), New York Rangers (2002-03), Washington (2002-04), Calgary (2003-04), Vancouver (2005-07) and Anaheim (2009). In 322 career NHL games, Green has scored 35-39=74 points with 193 PIM. He has also appeared in 17 Stanley Cup Playoff games with Edmonton, Vancouver and Anaheim, earning 0-1=1 point with 12 PIM.
A native of Camrose, Alberta, Green has appeared in 273 career AHL contests, recording 84-100=184 points with 273 PIM. The 6-3, 218-pound forward spent the 2008-09 regular season with Anaheim’s then-AHL affiliate in Iowa, collecting 10-14=24 points with 52 PIM in 39 games.
