The Ducks have acquired left wing Patrick Maroon and right wing David Laliberte from the Philadelphia Flyers in exchange for defenseman Danny Syvret and center Rob Bordson.

Laliberte, 24 (3/17/86), has appeared in 18 games with the Adirondack Phantoms (Philadelphia’s American Hockey League affiliate) this season, scoring 2-6=8 points with 20 penalty minutes (PIM). The 6-1, 198-pound right wing played in 11 NHL games (2-1=3 points) and one Stanley Cup playoff game (scoreless) last season with the Flyers. Laliberte scored a goal in his first NHL game on Oct. 30, 2009 vs. Carolina.

A native of St. Liboire, Quebec, Laliberte, was drafted by the Flyers in the fourth round (124th overall) of the 2004 NHL Entry Draft. He played in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League (QMJHL) from 2002-07 before making his AHL debut with the Phantoms in 2007-08. He scored 50 goals (50-48=98) in 68 games with Prince Edward Island (QMJHL) in 2006-07.

Maroon, 22 (4/23/88), has played in nine games with the Phantoms this season, scoring 5-3=8 points with 30 PIM. The 6-4, 225-pound left wing scored 11-33=44 points with 125 PIM in 2009-10 with Adirondack.

A native of St. Louis, Missouri, Maroon was drafted by the Flyers in the sixth round (161st overall) of the 2007 NHL Entry Draft. He played for the London Knights of the Ontario Hockey League (OHL) in 2007-08, scoring 35-55=90 points in 64 games.

Syvret, 25 (6/13/85), appeared in six games for the Ducks this season, earning 1-1=2 points with four PIM. Recalled from Syracuse of the American Hockey League (AHL) on Oct. 19, Syvret made his Anaheim debut on Oct. 20 in Columbus and scored his first goal as a Duck on Oct. 23 at Detroit. He also appeared in eight games for the Crunch this year, scoring 0-4=4 points with 11 PIM. Syvret was signed by Anaheim to a one-year contract on July 21, 2010.

Bordson, 22 (6/9/88), made his professional debut with Syracuse this season, collecting 1-2=3 points with four PIM in 15 AHL games. Bordson earned his first professional point with an assist on Oct. 15 at Adirondack and scored his first career goal on Nov. 5 at Springfield. Signed as a free agent on Mar. 23, 2010, Bordson played three Western Collegiate Hockey Association (WCHA) seasons with the University of Minnesota-Duluth from 2007-10. In 82 career WCHA games with the Bulldogs, Bordson scored 13-34=47 points with 30 PIM.
