The Ducks have reassigned left wing Matt Beleskey and right wing Dan Sexton to the Syracuse Crunch, Anaheim’s primary development affiliate in the American Hockey League (AHL).

Beleskey, 22 (6/7/88), appeared in 27 games with Anaheim this season, collecting 3-7=10 points with 32 penalty minutes (PIM). Beleskey scored his first goal of the season on Dec. 26 at Los Angeles and tied his NHL career high with 1-1=2 points in a 6-0 win on Jan. 7 vs. Columbus. He was originally assigned to Syracuse on Nov. 10 and has appeared in 14 AHL contests this season, scoring 6-6=12 points with 22 PIM.

Selected by Anaheim in the fourth round (112th overall) of the 2006 NHL Entry Draft, Beleskey appeared in 60 contests for Anaheim in his rookie NHL season in 2009-10, scoring 11-7=18 points with 35 PIM. He ranked tied for 10th among league rookies in goals and tied for third in game-winning goals (3). He also appeared in two NHL contests during the 2008-09 season, making his NHL debut on Jan. 9 vs. Tampa Bay. In 89 career NHL contests, Beleskey has earned 14-14=28 points with 67 PIM. He has also appeared in 87 career AHL contests, collecting 19-35=54 points with 101 PIM.

Sexton, 23 (4/29/87), appeared in 26 games with Anaheim this season, scoring 3-3=6 points with two PIM while averaging 11:35 time-on-ice (TOI). Sexton posted a season-high three-game point streak (1-2=3) from Nov. 21-27, including his first goal of the season on Nov. 26 vs. Chicago. Originally assigned to Syracuse on Nov. 10, Sexton has collected 7-8=15 points with four PIM in 14 AHL contests with the Crunch.

Signed as a free agent on Apr. 7, 2009, Sexton made his NHL debut with Anaheim in 2009-10. He collected 9-10=19 points with 16 PIM in 41 games last season, leading all Ducks rookies in assists and points. Among NHL rookies, his points-per-game average (.46) was tied for 10th while his 6-5=11 points in the month of December ranked second. The 5-10, 174-pound winger has appeared in 67 career NHL games with Anaheim, earning 12-13=25 points with 18 PIM.
