Hiller
The Ducks have activated goalie Jonas Hiller off injured reserve after he missed two games with fatigue/lightheadedness.

Hiller, who played in his first NHL All-Star Game on January 30 in Raleigh, N.C., was pulled in the first period of a 4-3 loss to San Jose on Feb. 2, the first game following the All-Star break. Hiller skated with the rest of the team for the first time since being placed on IR on Wednesday in Vancouver, where the Ducks beat the Canucks 4-3 that night with Curtis McElhinney in net. McElhinney earned his second career shutout in a 3-0 victory at Colorado last Saturday.

Hiller has compiled a .934 SV% (394-of-422) and a 2.33 GAA (28 GA/721 MIN) over his last 14 games (9-3-0). He is tied for second in the NHL in wins (25-16-3), second in appearances (47), first in saves (1,361), tied for sixth in SV% (.925), and tied for sixth in shutouts (4).

Meanwhile, the Ducks assigned goaltender Timo Pielmeier to the Elmira Jackals, Anaheim’s development affiliate in the ECHL.

Pielmeier, 21 (7/7/89), was recalled by Anaheim from the Syracuse Crunch (American Hockey League) on Feb. 4 and again on Feb. 8. He was also recalled from Syracuse (Ducks' primary American Hockey League affiliate) on Jan. 22 and reassigned on Jan. 24 (has not appeared in an NHL game). He has appeared in 27 games for Syracuse this season, going 10-14-1 with a 3.33 goals against average (77 GA/1389 MIN) and .901 save percentage (704-of-781). He went 4-2 with the Crunch from Dec. 31-Jan. 19, compiling a 2.39 GAA (15 GA/377 MIN) and .921 SV% (174-of-189). A native of Deggendorf, Germany, Pielmeier won three consecutive games from Oct. 16-23, allowing just one goal in each of his appearances for a 1.00 GAA (3 GA/180 GA) and .969 SV% (94-of-97).

Acquired from San Jose with Nick Bonino in exchange for Kent Huskins and Travis Moen on Mar. 4, 2009, Pielmeier appeared in his first professional season with Bakersfield (ECHL) in 2009-10, posting a 27-22-5 record with a 3.29 GAA (178 GA/3251 MIN) and .883 SV% in a franchise-record 57 games. He finished his rookie season ranked fifth among ECHL goaltenders in GAA and also participated in the 2010 ECHL All-Star Game on Jan. 20 in Ontario, CA. Pielmeier was named ECHL Goaltender of the Month for November, 2009 after going 6-1-0 with a 2.07 GAA and .925 SV% in eight appearances.
