The Ducks will host their annual prospect conditioning camp scrimmage at THE RINKS – Anaheim ICE on Thursday, June 30 beginning at 9 a.m. Fans and media are invited to attend the hour-long open scrimmage session, which is free of charge to the general public. A total of 22 prospects will participate in both on-ice and off-ice workouts at Anaheim ICE throughout the conditioning camp, running June 30-July 5 (only the annual scrimmage is open to the public).

All seven Anaheim selections from the 2011 NHL Entry Draft are scheduled to attend, including Rickard Rakell (first round, 30th overall), John Gibson (second round, 39th overall), William Karlsson (second round, 53rd overall), Joseph Cramarossa (third round, 65th overall), Andy Welinski (third round, 83rd overall), Max Friberg (fifth round, 143rd overall), and Josh Manson (sixth round, 160th overall). In addition, 2010 first-round pick and Long Beach native Emerson Etem will participate.

The seven-day camp focuses on both the on- and off-ice development of the organization’s top young prospects. In addition to on-ice skating sessions, each player will participate in strength and conditioning drills that allow coaches and management to closely evaluate the progress of each athlete. Along with daily weight and aerobic training, each player will also receive a personally tailored nutritional recommendation and be tested for strength thresholds, range of movement and aerobic capacity.
