Ducks, CHOC Children's Expand Agreement for 2011-12

Thursday, 09.22.2011 / 2:43 PM / News
The Ducks and CHOC Children’s have expanded their corporate partnership for the 2011-12 NHL season. As part of today’s announcement, CHOC Children’s remains the Official Children’s Hospital of the Anaheim Ducks and Honda Center.

“The Anaheim Ducks are thrilled to expand our partnership with CHOC Children’s,” said Director of Corporate Partnerships Greg Rieber. “CHOC is so interwoven in the Orange County community that bringing our organizations even closer will only further benefit the patients, families and residents CHOC proudly serves.”

CHOC will continue to integrate a variety of initiatives in and around Honda Center during the 2011-12 NHL season. For the sixth consecutive year, CHOC will once again be a featured partner for a Ducks regular season home game (this season on Sunday, Mar. 18 vs. Nashville). “CHOC Night” will include the conversion of all dasher boards, in-game branding and features, CHOC kids involvement and limited edition CHOCO bears autographed by Ducks players available for purchase. CHOC will also continue to participate in the Ducks’ “Kits for Kids” promotion, which gives fans the opportunity to purchase a Kids Club Kit for a patient at CHOC. Other elements of the partnership agreement include CHOC receiving mid-zone dasher board placements; features on HondaVision, Ducks television and radio broadcasts, AnaheimDucks.com, and through the club’s social media outlets; and various hospitality benefits.

“CHOC Children’s is proud of our long-term association with the Anaheim Ducks,” said Jan Lansing, Vice President, Marketing and Communications, CHOC Children's. “The entire organization – from the players to the front office – has supported our mission and our vision, and we are excited to continue the relationship.”
