Perry to Have Number Retired by OHL\'s London Knights
Ducks right winger Corey Perry will have his No. 94 retired by the London Knights (OHL) this Friday. The reigning Hart Trophy winner will be in attendance as London hosts Brampton that evening.

Ducks right winger Corey Perry will have his No. 94 retired by the OHL's London Knights this Friday.
The London Knights Hockey Club, along with Freedom 55 Financial, will honor Perry by retiring No. 94 up into the rafters of the John Labatt Centre.

Drafted fifth overall by the Knights in the 2001 Ontario Hockey League Priority Selection, Perry has gone on to establish himself as one of the best players to ever don a London Knights jersey.  As the current record holder for the most career points recorded by a London Knight, Perry will return to the place where his standout junior hockey career took off.

In his fourth and final year with the Knights, Perry scored a career high of 130 points in 60 games. He went on to lead his team to the OHL championship as well as the coveted Memorial Cup in 2005.  In the same year of his professional hockey career debut with the Anaheim Ducks organization, Perry represented Canada with a gold medal win at the World Junior Championships. He continued his international success with a gold medal win at the Vancouver 2010 Olympics.

His admirable professional hockey career with the Ducks has led him to a Stanley Cup win in 2007. He is the current holder of the Maurice Richard Trophy for being the leading goal scorer in the NHL’s 2010-2011 season. Perry also won the prestigious Hart Trophy as the NHL’s most valuable player this past season after reaching 50-48-98 totals.

“His on ice success and talent falls nothing short of superstardom,” said London Knights General Manager Mark Hunter.  “The London Knights are privileged to honor Corey Perry by retiring his jersey at the John Labatt Centre. His jersey will inspire future hockey stars to play with the same dedication and spirit that Perry demonstrated in his four years here with the Knights.”

“Freedom 55 Financial is pleased to be a part of this exciting event recognizing this superb Canadian athlete,” said Mike Cunneen, Senior Vice-President, Freedom 55 Financial. London Life offers financial security advice and planning through its more that 3,300-member Freedom 55 Financial division.
