The Ducks have has reassigned center Nick Bonino to the Syracuse Crunch, Anaheim’s primary development affiliate in the American Hockey League (AHL).

Bonino, 23 (4/20/88), appeared in one game with Anaheim this season, going scoreless in 11:49 time-on-ice (TOI) in the club’s Nov. 1 contest at Washington. Recalled from Syracuse on Oct. 31, Bonino has scored 2-9=11 points with a +4 rating in nine games with the Crunch this season. At the time of his recall, Bonino led the club in points and was second in points-per-game (1.22), while ranking tied for fourth among AHL leaders in assists. The 6-0, 192-pound center opened the season on a four-game scoring streak (1-8=9), including an AHL career-best four assists in a 6-2 victory on Oct. 15 vs. Adirondack.

Selected by San Jose in the sixth round (173rd overall) of the 2007 NHL Entry Draft, Bonino was acquired by Anaheim with Timo Pielmeier in exchange for Kent Huskins and Travis Moen on Mar. 4, 2009. He has appeared in 36 career NHL games with the Ducks, scoring 1-1=2 points with 10 PIM. In addition, the Hartford, CT native has scored 14-42=56 points with a +14 rating in 59 career AHL games.
