The move comes in the wake of new Ducks winger Niklas Hagman becoming eligible to play after securing his work visa yesterday afternoon. Hagman played in last night's 5-3 loss to the Kings at Honda Center.
Jacques, 26 (4/29/85), made his Anaheim debut on Nov. 17 at Los Angeles, going scoreless with two penalty minutes (PIM). Recalled by the Ducks on Nov. 15, Jacques has also appeared in 10 contests with Syracuse this season, collecting 4-4=8 points with a +2 rating and 15 PIM. The 6-4, 220-pound winger currently ranks tied for fifth on the Crunch in scoring, earning 4-3=7 points in his last six AHL contests.
Selected by Edmonton in the second round (68th overall) of the 2003 NHL Entry Draft, Jacques has scored 9-8=17 points with 187 PIM in 161 career NHL games with the Oilers. He made his professional debut with the Edmonton Roadrunners (AHL) in 2004-05 and has since appeared in 159 career AHL games, earning 50-58=108 points with 295 PIM.
