The Ducks have reassigned left wing Jean-Francois Jacques to the Syracuse Crunch, Anaheim’s primary development affiliate in the American Hockey League (AHL).

Jacques, 26 (4/29/85), appeared in five contests with the Ducks, going scoreless with a +1 rating and seven penalty minutes (PIM). Jacques made his Anaheim debut on Nov. 17 at Los Angeles, going scoreless with two PIM. He has also appeared in 20 contests with Syracuse this season, collecting 11-8=19 points with three power play goals and 26 PIM. The 6-4, 220-pound winger ranks sixth on the Crunch in scoring, fourth in goals, and third in points-per-game (0.95). At the time of his Dec. 26 recall to Anaheim, Jacques was riding a season-high four-game point streak (5-2=7) with Syracuse, including his fourth career hat trick (3-0=3) on Dec. 17 vs. Adirondack.

Selected by Edmonton in the second round (68th overall) of the 2003 NHL Entry Draft, Jacques has scored 9-8=17 points with 192 PIM in 165 career NHL games with the Oilers and Ducks. He made his professional debut with the Edmonton Roadrunners (AHL) in 2004-05 and has since appeared in 169 career AHL games, earning 57-62=119 points with 306 PIM.
