The Ducks have recalled goaltender Jeff Deslauriers from the Syracuse Crunch, Anaheim’s primary development affiliate in the American Hockey League (AHL). In addition, the Ducks have reassigned left wing Jean-Francois Jacques to Syracuse.

Deslauriers, 27 (5/15/84), has appeared in 14 games for Syracuse this season, going 6-7-0 with a 3.86 goals-against average (GAA) and .877 save percentage (SV%). Deslauriers won two of his final three games with the Crunch, posting a 2.36 GAA (7 GA/178 MIN) and .931 SV% (95-of-102). The 6-4, 203-pound goaltender was a member of the Ducks’ NHL Premiere roster but did not make an appearance prior to his assignment to Syracuse on Oct. 11. He was recalled on Nov. 27 and backed up Jonas Hiller for four games before being reassigned on Dec. 6.

Signed as a free agent by Anaheim on July 12, 2011, Deslauriers spent the 2009-10 NHL season with the Edmonton Oilers, posting a 16-28-4 record while compiling a 3.26 GAA and .901 SV%. He recorded his first NHL shutout on Nov. 23, 2009, stopping all 36 shots he faced in a 4-0 Edmonton win over Phoenix. Selected by Edmonton in the second round (31st overall) of the 2002 NHL Entry Draft, Deslauriers has appeared in 58 career NHL contests with the Oilers, posting a 3.27 GAA, .901 SV%, and three shutouts.

Jacques, 26 (4/29/85), appeared in six contests with the Ducks this season, going scoreless with a +2 rating and 12 PIM. Jacques began the season with Syracuse, collecting 11-8=19 points with three power play goals and 43 PIM in 23 games. The 6-4, 220-pound winger ranks sixth on the Crunch in scoring and fourth in goals in 2011-12.

Selected by Edmonton in the second round (68th overall) of the 2003 NHL Entry Draft, Jacques has scored 9-8=17 points with 197 PIM in 166 career NHL games with the Oilers and Ducks. He made his professional debut with the Edmonton Roadrunners (AHL) in 2004-05 and has since appeared in 173 career AHL games, earning 58-63=121 points with 323 PIM.
