Ducks Assign Fraser to Syracuse

Fraser, 25 (9/29/86), has appeared in five contests with the Crunch this season on his conditioning loan, collecting two assists (0-2=2) with two penalty minutes (PIM) and a +3 rating. Acquired from New Jersey with Rod Pelley and a seventh-round selection in the 2012 NHL Entry Draft in exchange for Kurtis Foster and Timo Pielmeier on Dec. 12, 2011, the 6-4, 220-pound blueliner also appeared in four NHL contests with the Devils in 2011-12, going scoreless with 14 PIM.
Selected by New Jersey in the third round (84th overall) of the 2005 NHL Entry Draft, Fraser has appeared in 98 career NHL contests (all with the Devils), scoring 3-5=8 points with 86 PIM and +2 rating. A native of Ottawa, Ontario, Fraser made his NHL debut with New Jersey during the 2006-07 season and went on to set career highs in goals, assists, points (3-3=6) and appearances (61) in 2009-10. Fraser is also a veteran of 238 career AHL games, collecting 5-42=47 points with 325 PIM.
