The Ducks have officially launched Version 2.0 of the Ducks mobile application for smart phones, available on the iPhone, Android and Blackberry platforms. Version 2.0 includes a significantly improved user interface, faster navigation and added features to keep fans fully immersed with the team at home and on the road.

“The initial launch of the mobile application was a tremendous success,” said Ducks Vice President of Multi-Media and Community Development Aaron Teats. “With the launch of Version 2.0, we hope users will find greater accessibility to team news and bring them closer to the organization than ever before.”

Created by Orange County-based B3 Connect, the mobile app was designed over an extensive period of research and development in an effort to create an easy-to-use and informative experience. Version 2.0 features a brand new ‘Fantasy Five’ game, allowing users to select their fantasy team of Ducks players for upcoming games and compete against other fans for prizes. The latest version will also offer exclusive content such as pregame analysis of every Ducks game, including “Key Matchups” and “What to Watch For.” An exclusive pregame show and postgame wrap-up following every Ducks home game will also be hosted by Ducks television color analyst Brian Hayward. Fans can also access video highlights, feature stories, postgame interviews with players and coaches, up-to-the-minute Ducks news and multiple photo galleries.

The application also includes features designed to enhance a fan’s experience during a Ducks game. When away from Honda Center, television, or radio, fans can now receive out-of-town scores, live in-game updates, real-time statistics and an all-new ice tracker that displays where every shot, hit, and penalty happened on the ice. Version 2.0 also features an interactive game schedule, allowing fans to purchase Ducks tickets directly through the application.

Version 2.0 of the Ducks mobile app is free and can be downloaded at the iTunes Store, the Android Market and the Blackberry App World.
