Ducks Reassign Bell and Guenin to Syracuse
The Ducks have reassigned center Mark Bell and defenseman Nate Guenin to the Syracuse Crunch, Anaheim’s primary development affiliate in the American Hockey League (AHL).

Bell
Bell, 31 (8/5/80), appeared in three games with Anaheim, going scoreless with five penalty minutes (PIM). Bell made his Anaheim debut on Jan. 21 vs. Ottawa, marking his first appearance in the NHL since 2007-08 when he scored 4-6=10 points with 60 PIM in 35 games with Toronto. The 6-4, 206-pound center has also played 32 contests with the Crunch this season, scoring 5-8=13 points with 33 PIM.

Signed by Anaheim as a free agent on July 20, 2011, Bell has played eight NHL seasons with Chicago (2000-06), San Jose (2006-07), Toronto (2007-08) and Anaheim (2011-12), collecting 87-95=182 points with 602 PIM in 448 career games. He has also appeared in nine career Stanley Cup Playoff games with Chicago (2002) and San Jose (2007), going scoreless with 10 PIM. Selected by Chicago in the first round (eighth overall) of the 1998 NHL Entry Draft, Bell has played 167 career AHL contests, earning 38-58=96 points with a +8 rating and 224 PIM.

Guenin
Guenin, 29 (12/10/82), appeared in 10 contests with Anaheim this season, scoring one goal (1-0=1) with a +1 rating and six PIM. Acquired from Columbus in exchange for Trevor Smith on Jan. 4, 2011, Guenin recorded his first career NHL goal in his Anaheim debut on Oct. 7 at Buffalo in Helsinki, Finland. The Sewickley, PA native has also played 19 games for Syracuse this year, collecting 0-3=3 points with 12 PIM.

Originally selected by the New York Rangers in the third round (127th overall) of the 2002 NHL Entry Draft, Guenin has appeared in 27 career NHL games with Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, Columbus and Anaheim, scoring 1-2=3 points with 14 PIM. The 6-3, 207-pound blueliner made his NHL debut with Philadelphia on Jan. 18, 2007 vs. the New York Islanders.
