Ducks to Hold All-Star Game Surprise Puck Sale Wednesday vs. Dallas

Twenty-Three Surprise Puck Recipients will also Win a Corey Perry-autographed All-Star Jersey

Tuesday, 01.31.2012 / 2:27 PM / News
The Ducks hold their third Surprise Puck sale for the 2011-12 season this Wednesday, Feb. 1 vs. Dallas at Honda Center (7:35 p.m.). Doors open at Honda Center at 6 p.m.

The third installment of the commemorative four-part limited-edition set, fans will have the opportunity to purchase a special All-Star puck with 23 lucky fans winning a Corey Perry-autographed All-Star jersey. Each surprise puck will cost $30, with all proceeds benefiting the Anaheim Ducks Foundation.

Representing the Anaheim Ducks in Sunday’s 2012 NHL All-Star Game at Scotiabank Place (Ottawa, Ontario), Perry recorded 1-1=2 points with a +1 rating for Team Chara in the 12-9 victory over Team Alfredsson. This past weekend marked Perry’s third career All-Star appearance, having played in both the 2008 All-Star Game in Atlanta, GA and the 2011 midseason classic in Raleigh, NC. Currently the club’s leading goal scorer, Perry also had a memorable appearance in Saturday’s Skills Competition when he unveiled a mini-stick during the Breakaway Challenge to beat St. Louis goaltender Brian Elliott.

Available at the Community Relations table at Section 213, each All-Star Surprise Puck is autographed by a random Anaheim Ducks player. Twenty-three fans who purchase Surprise Pucks will draw at random a player-autographed orange puck, which will entitle those fans to a Perry-autographed All-Star jersey. Earlier pucks in this season’s Surprise Puck set included the NHL Premiere puck (offered on Oct. 14) and the Military Appreciation puck (Nov. 11). The final puck of the four-part set will be offered on Sunday, Apr. 1 vs. Edmonton on Fan Appreciation Night. Wednesday’s Surprise Puck will be available when doors open at 6 p.m., while supplies last.
