The Ducks have reassigned right wing Kyle Palmieri and center Mark Bell to the Syracuse Crunch, Anaheim’s primary development affiliate in the American Hockey League (AHL).

Palmieri, 21 (2/1/91), appeared in 11 games with the Ducks this season, scoring 1-1=2 points with two penalty minutes (PIM). In 26 games with Syracuse, the Smithtown, NY native recorded 25-11=36 points with a +15 rating and 25 PIM. Palmieri scored a goal for the Eastern Conference at Monday’s 2012 AHL All-Star Classic in Atlantic City, NJ. He currently co-leads the AHL in goals and game-winning goals (6). Among team leaders, the 5-11, 196-pound winger ranks first in goals and plus/minus, second in points and third in power play goals (4).

Selected by Anaheim in the first round (26th overall) of the 2009 NHL Entry Draft, Palmieri made his NHL debut with the Ducks in 2010-11. At 19 years, nine months and two days, Palmieri was then the fifth-youngest player in club history to appear in a game on Nov. 3, 2010 vs. Tampa Bay. He has appeared in 21 career NHL games with Anaheim, collecting 2-1=3 points with two PIM.

Bell, 31 (8/5/80), appeared in five games with Anaheim, going scoreless with five PIM. He made his Ducks debut on Jan. 21 vs. Ottawa, marking his first appearance in the NHL since 2007-08 when he scored 4-6=10 points with 60 PIM in 35 games with Toronto. The 6-4, 206-pound center has also played 34 contests with the Crunch this season, scoring 6-9=15 points with 37 PIM.

Signed by Anaheim as a free agent on July 20, 2011, Bell has played eight NHL seasons with Chicago (2000-06), San Jose (2006-07), Toronto (2007-08) and Anaheim (2011-12), collecting 87-95=182 points with 602 PIM in 450 career games. He has also appeared in nine career Stanley Cup Playoff games with Chicago (2002) and San Jose (2007), going scoreless with 10 PIM. Selected by Chicago in the first round (eighth overall) of the 1998 NHL Entry Draft, Bell has played 169 career AHL contests, earning 39-59=98 points with a +7 rating and 229 PIM.
