A native of Long Beach, California, Etem is the first WHL player since the 1998-99 season to score 50 goals in his first 50 games-or-less. The Calgary Hitmen’s Pavel Brendl was the last to do it, scoring 50 goals in his first 43 games that season.

Etem currently has an 18-game point streak, scoring 22 goals in that stretch (22-8=30). He also had an 11-game goal streak from Dec. 10 – Jan. 27, the WHL’s longest since the 2003-04 season.
Etem has 51-38=89 points with a +21 rating in his 50 games this season.
