Ducks Partner With Travel Alberta To Host “Alberta Day” This Sunday

Wednesday, 03.21.2012 / 3:41 PM / News
This Sunday will serve as “Alberta Day” at Honda Center when the Ducks take on the Boston Bruins (5:05 p.m.). From 3-5 p.m. at The Hockey Spot in the Honda Center parking lot (North side of the building), fans can stop in prior to the game to learn more about the Canadian province, listen to live music and participate in a variety of games and activities. In addition, one lucky fan will win a trip to the province courtesy of Travel Alberta.

The Province of Alberta is the Official Travel Destination of the Anaheim Ducks and Honda Center. As a result of the partnership, the Ducks and Travel Alberta are offering fans an exciting opportunity to discover all the Canadian province has to offer as a travel destination. Fans can participate in activities at The Hockey Spot such as riding a mechanical bull, climbing a rock wall and a variety of interactive games. Musical artist “Wil” will play live music as fans make their way through The Hockey Spot.

One lucky fan who visits “Alberta Day” at The Hockey Spot on Sunday will win a trip for two to Alberta. Fans can submit an entry at the Travel Alberta booth (until 5 p.m.) and the winner will be announced during the game. In addition, the first 200 fans to visit “Alberta Day” at The Hockey Spot will receive a gift bag containing coupons and special items from Anaheim Ducks partners and Travel Alberta clients, including a water bottle, t-shirt and other prizes.

The Hockey Spot takes place prior to every Sunday home game on the North side of Honda Center. Open two hours prior to the start of every Sunday home game, The Hockey Spot offers interactive hockey games and other family activities.

A limited number of tickets to Sunday’s contest vs. Boston are available and can be purchased online, by phone with Ticketmaster at (714) 703-2545 or in person at the Honda Center box office. As part of the club’s “No Surprise Fees” policy introduced at the start of the 2011-12 NHL season, fans purchasing tickets direct from the Anaheim Ducks (AnaheimDucks.com, Ticketmaster or Honda Center Box Office) will pay the identical price regardless of purchase point.
