Ducks Add Orange County Ice Palace to The Rinks Development Program
Facility to be Renamed THE RINKS – Yorba Linda ICE, Becoming Sixth Location since Program’s 2009 Launch

The Anaheim Ducks announced today that the National Hockey League (NHL) club has added the Orange County Ice Palace to THE RINKS development program. Rebranded as THE RINKS – Yorba Linda ICE, the facility will join locations in Anaheim (THE RINKS - Anaheim ICE), Westminster (THE RINKS - Westminster ICE), Huntington Beach (THE RINKS - Huntington Beach Inline), Irvine (THE RINKS – Irvine Inline) and Corona (THE RINKS - Corona Inline). Including Yorba Linda ICE, the Ducks now operate six local skating facilities, consisting of three ice rinks and three inline facilities. The Anaheim Ducks launched THE RINKS development program on Feb. 13, 2009.
“We are very pleased to be able to add THE RINKS – Yorba Linda ICE to our development program,” said Vice President of THE RINKS Art Trottier. “The Orange County Ice Palace has been at capacity for several years and we look forward to working with the Orange County Hockey Club (the rink’s travel hockey team) to continue to improve and grow their excellent existing program.”
Yorba Linda ICE is the program’s third ice rink and offers youth and adult hockey programs, figure skating, a learn-to-skate program, public skating and broomball. Originally built as a single-sheet rink in 2001, the Yorba Linda facility now includes a hockey-specific training rink and also hosts group events, fundraisers and birthday parties.
