Deslauriers
The Ducks have recalled goaltender Jeff Deslauriers from the Norfolk Admirals, Anaheim’s primary development affiliate in the American Hockey League (AHL). In addition, the club has reassigned defensemen Sami Vatanen and Jordan Hendry to Norfolk.

The recall of Deslauriers comes after Jonas Hiller left after the first period of last night's 3-1 loss in Dallas with a lower body injury. Hiller is listed as day-to-day.

Deslauriers, 28 (5/15/84), appeared in two games with Norfolk this season, going 1-1-0 with a 3.51 goals-against average (GAA) and .889 save percentage (SV%). Deslauriers made his season debut on Jan. 20 at Charlotte and earned his first win last night vs. Wilkes-Barre/Scranton, stopping 31-of-32 shots for a 4-1 victory.

Signed as a free agent on July 12, 2011, Deslauriers appeared in four games with Anaheim last season, posting a 3-1-0 record with a 2.74 GAA and .903 SV%. He most recently backstopped Anaheim to a 3-2 overtime victory over Edmonton on Apr. 5 at Rexall Place, stopping 24-of-26 shots. Selected by Edmonton in the second round (31st overall) of the 2002 NHL Entry Draft, Deslauriers has appeared in 62 career NHL contests with the Ducks and Oilers, posting a 23-32-4 record with three shutouts, a 3.24 GAA and a .901 SV%.

Vatanen, 21 (6/3/91), appeared in three games for Anaheim this season, going scoreless with a +1 rating. Selected in the fourth round (106th overall) of the 2009 NHL Entry Draft, Vatanen has appeared in 34 games with the Admirals in 2012-13, earning 4-19=23 points with 30 penalty minutes (PIM). He returns to Norfolk leading team defensemen in goals, assists and points, and leading club rookies in assists and scoring.

Hendry, 28 (2/23/84), played two games for Anaheim this season, going scoreless while averaging 17:34 time-on-ice (TOI). Signed as a free agent on July 1, 2012, Hendry began his eighth professional season with Norfolk, collecting 2-2=4 points and 33 PIM.
