The Ducks have recalled center Peter Holland and left wing Patrick Maroon from the Norfolk Admirals, Anaheim’s primary development affiliate in the American Hockey League (AHL). In addition, the club has reassigned right wing Emerson Etem to Norfolk.
Holland

Holland, 22 (1/14/91), made his NHL season debut on Jan. 25 vs. Vancouver, going scoreless in 7:57 time-on-ice (TOI). Reassigned to Norfolk on Jan. 27, Holland recorded 16-19=35 points with 58 PIM in 39 AHL games this season. At the time of his recall, Holland led the Admirals in scoring and goals, and ranked second in assists. The 6-2, 192-pound center was named to the AHL Eastern Conference All-Star team on Jan. 17, but did not make an appearance in the game due to his original recall to Anaheim.

Maroon

Maroon, 24 (4/23/88), appeared in 45 games with Norfolk this season, scoring 13-17=30 points with 108 PIM. Maroon ranked second among team leaders in points, tied for second in goals, third in assists and first in games and PIM. Acquired from Philadelphia with David Laliberte in exchange for Danny Syvret and Rob Bordson on Nov. 21, 2010, Maroon made his NHL debut with Anaheim last season. The 6-3, 229-pound winger appeared in two games with the Ducks in 2011-12, going scoreless with two PIM.

Etem, 20 (6/16/92), became the 13th born-and-trained Southern California player to appear in an NHL game with his debut on Jan. 29 at San Jose. The Long Beach, CA native appeared in eight games for the Ducks, collecting 0-2=2 points with a +1 rating and two PIM. Selected in the first round (29th overall) of the 2010 NHL Entry Draft, Etem has scored 12-2=14 points with a +1 rating and 12 PIM in 40 games with Norfolk this season. The 6-1, 210-pound wing was named to the AHL Eastern Conference All-Star team on Jan. 23.
