Ducks Reassign Guenin to Norfolk, Deslauriers to Fort Wayne
Guenin, 30 (12/10/82), was recalled from Norfolk on Feb. 11 but did not make an appearance with Anaheim prior to his reassignment to the AHL. He has scored 2-10=12 points with a +5 rating and 20 penalty minutes (PIM) in 41 games for the Admirals this season, ranking second among team defensemen in scoring and assists, and tied for the team lead in plus/minus.
Acquired from Columbus in exchange for Trevor Smith on Jan. 4, 2011, Guenin has appeared in 32 career NHL games with Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, Columbus and Anaheim, scoring 2-2=4 points with 14 PIM. In 416 career AHL games, Guenin has collected 16-79=95 points with a +27 rating and 532 PIM.
Deslauriers, 28 (5/15/84), was recalled on Feb. 9 from Norfolk but did not appear in a game for the Ducks. He appeared in two games with Norfolk this season, going 1-1-0 with a 3.51 goals-against average (GAA) and .889 save percentage (SV%). Deslauriers made his season debut on Jan. 20 at Charlotte and earned his first win on Feb. 8 vs. Wilkes-Barre/Scranton, stopping 31-of-32 shots for a 4-1 victory.
Signed as a free agent on July 12, 2011, Deslauriers has appeared in 62 career NHL contests with Anaheim and Edmonton, posting a 23-32-4 record with three shutouts, a 3.24 GAA and a .901 SV%.
In addition to today’s moves, defenseman Hampus Lindholm, who was on non-roster status, has reported to Norfolk (AHL).
