Ducks Defenseman Prospect Sami Vatanen Named to AHL All-Rookie Team
Ducks defenseman prospect Sami Vatanen was among the six players named to the 2012-13 AHL All-Rookie Team, as voted by AHL coaches, players and media in each of the league’s 30 member cities.

The team consists of one goaltender, two defensemen and three forwards:

Goaltender -- Niklas Svedberg, Providence Bruins (45gp, 34-8-0, 2.18gaa, .924sv%, 4so)
Defenseman - Sami Vatanen, Norfolk Admirals (59gp, 8+36=44pts., +1, 4 PPG, 2 GWG)
Defenseman - Justin Schultz, Oklahoma City Barons (34gp, 18+30=48pts., +8, 7 PPG, 3 GWG)
Forward - Ryan Spooner, Providence Bruins (54gp, 14+37=51pts., +10, 8 PPG, 3 GWG)
Forward - Tyler Toffoli, Manchester Monarchs (55gp, 28+20=48pts., +20, 6 PPG, 3 SHG)
Forward - Jason Zucker, Houston Aeros (53gp, 24+24=48pts., -5, 12 PPG, 8 GWG)Each All-Rookie Team member will receive a custom-designed crystal award in recognition of his selection to the 2012-13 AHL All-Rookie Team.
