Ducks Caravan to Invade Orange County Next Sunday, Sept. 22
The Ducks announced today the club will transform Orange County into \u201CDucks County\u201D next Sunday, Sept. 22 with a caravan tour.
The Ducks announced today the club will transform Orange County into “Ducks County” next Sunday, Sept. 22 with a caravan tour. The Anaheim Ducks Caravan will serve as a launch to the club’s 20th anniversary season and will feature Anaheim Ducks players, announcers, Wild Wing and the Power Players at each caravan stop. Fans are encouraged to wear their Ducks gear and follow all three planned stops at Irvine Spectrum Center, Fashion Island and the Honda Center parking lot prior to the club’s preseason contest vs. Colorado that evening (5 p.m. start).

Ducks players Luca Sbisa, Sheldon Souray, Patrick Maroon and Devante Smith-Pelly will be part of the event.

The “OC Cruiser” will embark on the day-long journey through “Ducks County” with the first planned stop at Irvine Spectrum Center at approximately 12:30 p.m. Ducks players (TBA) will join fans near the Giant Wheel Courtyard for Q&A sessions, led by club television and radio announcers. In addition, each tour stop on the Ducks Caravan will include interactive hockey games that include the opportunity to face off against Ducks players (selected via social media contests earlier in the week), giveaways and much more. At the conclusion of each caravan stop, Ducks players will hand out free Ducks-themed sweet treats to all in attendance. The “Ducks County” tour continues with additional stops at Fashion Island at approximately 2:30 p.m. (near the Bloomingdale’s lawn) before concluding at the final stop in the Honda Center parking lot at 4:00 p.m. The Ducks will then take on the Avalanche for a preseason contest at 5 p.m. Fans are encouraged to document the Ducks Caravan via social media through the #DucksCaravan hashtag.

The Ducks will open their 20th anniversary season on Oct. 2 at Colorado. Following a three-game trip, the club returns to Honda Center for its home opener vs. the New York Rangers on Thursday, Oct. 10. The following game will serve as “Throwback Night” on Sunday, Oct. 13 vs. Ottawa (5 p.m.), featuring a majority of the original 1993-94 Mighty Ducks squad, special retro merchandise, throwback jerseys, special food and beverage offerings and much more.
