Ducks Notes: Anaheim Continues Homestand Riding Four-Game Win Streak
DUCKS SET RECORDS, EARN WINS: The Ducks (4-1-0) continue a five-game homestand as the club hosts its new Pacific Division rival Calgary Flames Wednesday night at Honda Center (7 p.m. PDT, PRIME TICKET/AM 830)...the Ducks are coming off a record-setting performance on Oct. 13 vs. Ottawa, setting club bests in shots on net (56) and first-period shots (24) en route to a 4-1 victory…after a season-opening loss in Colorado, the Ducks have won four straight games and outscored their opposition, 17-6...at 4-1-0, the Ducks have equaled the best start in team history...the other top starts were in 2011-12 (4-1-0, 8 points) and 2006-07 (3-0-2, 8 points)...Anaheim's best start through six games was in 2006-07, when the club opened with a 4-0-2 record for 10 points...Anaheim's four straight wins is currently tied for the third-longest active winning streak in the league with St. Louis...the club owns an all-time record of 672-618-207 (1,551 points, .518%) in 1,497 games since its NHL debut in 1993-94...over the last nine seasons, the Ducks have posted a regular-season record of 334-218-75 (.593%)...following Wednesday's game, the homestand will continue with contests vs. Phoenix (Friday, Oct. 18, 7 p.m.) and Dallas (Sunday, Oct. 20, 5 p.m.).

4-FOR-4: Right wing Jakob Silfverberg scored four goals in his first four games with the Ducks, becoming the third player in club history to accomplish the feat...Silfverberg joins an exclusive list that includes only Teemu Selanne, who scored four goals (4-2=6) from Feb. 10-15, 1996, and Daniel Winnik, who scored five (5-1=6) from Jan. 19-26, 2013...coming off his second career multi-goal game (2-0=2) on Oct. 10 vs. the New York Rangers, Silfverberg enters Wednesday's contest with points in four of his first five games as a Duck (4-1=5)...currently tied for seventh among NHL leaders in goal scoring, he also leads Anaheim in goals, ranks second in points and tied for fifth in plus/minus (+4).

DUCKS-FLAMES: Anaheim and Calgary open a four-game season series Wednesday at Honda Center...the Ducks have won 16 consecutive home games over the Flames, the longest home win streak vs. one opponent in franchise history...Anaheim, which has not lost at home to Calgary since Jan. 19, 2004, is also 16-6-1 against its new Pacific Division rival dating to Nov. 29, 2007…the Ducks own an all-time record of 41-33-8 against the Flames, including a 27-8-6 mark at Honda Center…Teemu Selanne leads Anaheim skaters in career scoring vs. Calgary, earning 38-43=81 points in 73 games.

BEHIND THE BENCH: Among all active NHL coaches, Ducks Head Coach Bruce Boudreau ranks second in win (points) percentage (.657), compiling a 262-124-54 record in 440 career games...he is second only to Pittsburgh’s Dan Bylsma, who has compiled a .671 win percentage over his 324 games with the Penguins (205-94-25)…Boudreau, along with San Jose coach Todd McLellan are the two fastest coaches in modern-day NHL history to reach 200 wins…Boudreau reached the 200-win mark Nov. 22, 2011 (w/Washington) in 326 games (200- 86-40), the fastest in modern day history...on Jan. 27, 2013, McLellan became the second-fastest coach in modern-day NHL history to win 200 games (now 225-108-48 in 381 career games) and owns a .653 win percentage, third among all active NHL coaches.

WHEN IT COUNTS: Since the start of the 2010-11 season, Corey Perry has scored 23 game-winning goals, tied for the most in the NHL with Tampa Bay’s Steven Stamkos.

ONE FINAL YEAR: Teemu Selanne began his final NHL season in 2013-14 season as the league's oldest active player and the oldest to ever compete in a Ducks uniform at 43 years and 92 days...Selanne ranks 11th among all-time leaders in goals (8 behind Jagr), 40th in all-time assists (3 behind Federko), 15th in all-time scoring (34 behind Mikita), third in all-time PPG (14 behind Brett Hull) and sixth in all-time GWG (2 behind Brendan Shanahan)...he is in the midst of his 22nd NHL season and 15th in an Anaheim uniform...Selanne is the franchise's all-time leader in scoring (964), goals (448), assists (516), games (906), plus/minus (+113), PPG (112), PPP (402), GWG (74), shots (2,863) and overtime goals (6).

LEADING THE WAY: Anaheim captain Ryan Getzlaf is one of four NHL players to average a point-per-game in five of the last six seasons, joining Washington's Alex Ovechkin and Pittsburgh's Sidney Crosby and Evgeni Malkin...with 15-34=49 points in 44 games last season, Getzlaf finished tied for 10th in the NHL in scoring, tied for eighth in assists and tied for third in road scoring (9-21=30)...among team leaders, he led in scoring and assists, co-led in goals, tied for second in PPG (4) and tied for third in plus/minus (+14).

IRONMAN: Ducks center Andrew Cogliano began the 2013-14 NHL season ranked third on the NHL’s active Ironman list…he has not missed a game since his NHL debut with Edmonton on Oct. 4, 2007, having appeared in 463 consecutive games with the Oilers and Ducks…the only players in the NHL who have played more games consecutively at this current time are STL’s Jay Bouwmeester at 640 and VAN’s Henrik Sedin at 635.
