Silfverberg Out 4-6 Six Weeks With Broken Right Hand; Updates on Perreault, Penner
Jakob Silfverberg suffered a broken right hand Friday night in Ottawa, and is out 4-6 weeks. (The injury occurred when he was slashed in the third period).

Silfverberg, 23 (10/13/90), had seven points (4g/3a) in 11 games at the time of the injury. Silfverberg ranks fourth on the team in scoring and his 35 shots rank second behind Corey Perry (40). He became the third player in club history to score four goals in his first four games as a Duck, joining an exclusive list that includes only Teemu Selanne, who scored four goals (4g/2a) from Feb. 10-15, 1996, and Daniel Winnik, who scored five (5g/1a) from Jan. 19-26, 2013. Silfverberg recorded a career-high four-game point streak (4g/1a) from October 2-10, and recorded his second career multi-goal game (2g) on October 10 vs. the New York Rangers at Honda Center.

Mathieu Perreault sprained his left wrist Friday night and is day-to-day.

Perreault, 25 (1/5/88), ranks third on the team in scoring with nine points (4g/5a) in 11 games. In addition, Perreault ranks eighth in the NHL in faceoff win percentage (58%, 91-for-157). Acquired from the Washington Capitals on September 29 in exchange for John Mitchell and a 2014 fourth-round draft pick, Perreault scored his first goal as a Duck with his first career overtime goal on October 5 at Minnesota.

Dustin Penner has been symptom free for several days and will join the team in Columbus.

Penner, 31 (9/28/82), ranks third on the Ducks with a plus-8 rating in six games. Penner has points in two of his last three games (2g/1a), and scored his first goal of the season as part of a multi-point night (1g/1a) on October 10 against the New York Rangers. The goal was his first as a Duck since Game 4 of the Stanley Cup Final, June 4, 2007 at Ottawa.
